In case you missed them: The biggest platform updates this year (so far).

Terry's Take
Life doesn't always go to plan, and neither do bookings.
Someone books the Saturday session, then realises they're only free Sunday. A family buys seats together, then needs to be moved when the row fills in around them. For years, the only real fix was cancelling the booking and starting again, refund one side, new charge the other, and hoping nothing got lost in between.
That's not how it has to work anymore.
Thanks,

In Focus
How many amendment requests does your team field in an average week?
A change of session, a change of seat, someone wanting to split their tickets across two dates instead of one. None of these are complicated problems for the customer, but they've traditionally been a genuine hassle behind the scenes, a cancellation, a refund, a brand new booking, and a bit of hope that the original discount or price still applies.
Handled properly, these requests take a couple of minutes. Handled the old way, they eat up your afternoon and put the sale at risk.

Booking Modifications
Found within Orders by opening the individual booking you want to change, the Move feature lets you shift all or part of a booking to another session or seating location, without touching the booking value.
Move Booking moves the entire booking, every ticket, to a new session or time slot. Quantities, prices and the total stay exactly the same, and availability is checked before the move goes through.
Split Move moves only selected tickets, so a single booking can end up spanning two different sessions if that's what the customer actually needs.
Move/Reseat Booking, for seated events, lets you move a booking to different seats entirely. Select the new seats on the seating map, click Apply Selected Seats, and the old seats release the moment the new ones are allocated.

Move Booking Across Events
Right now, moving a booking works within one event, between its sessions. We're extending that further, so Stripe Connect organisers will be able to move a booking between two entirely different events they're running, no cancellation required on either side.
Terry's Toolbox
The fastest way to lose a customer over a small request is to make it feel like a big one.
Next time someone asks to change their session or seats, resist the instinct to cancel and rebook out of habit. Check whether Move, Split Move, or Move/Reseat gets them there in one step instead. It's usually faster for you, and it means the customer never has to see a refund and a new charge hit their card for what was, to them, a simple ask.
Did You Know?
Did you know you can add a donation option straight into your ticket checkout?
Inside Ticket Types, there's a dedicated donation tab that lets customers add an extra amount to their purchase, whether that's for your organisation, a partner charity, or a specific fundraiser. It's a simple way to raise a little more, without running a separate appeal.
One Action. One Click. One Improvement.
This Week's Action
Look back through last month's amendment requests and see how many could have been handled with Move, Split Move, or Move/Reseat instead of a full cancel and rebook.
If it's more than a couple, that's real time back for your team next time it happens.
A Gentle Reminder
We sent a dedicated update earlier this month on the RBA's new card payment surcharge rules, coming into effect 1 October 2026. If you haven't had a chance to look at it yet, or you've got events going on sale for dates after that, it's worth a quick check now rather than a scramble later.
In short: from 1 October, a separate surcharge can no longer be added to designated Visa, Mastercard or eftpos payments, so any card processing costs need to be built into your advertised ticket price instead. If your event currently uses the Pass On Fees option, this is the thing to review first.
