In case you missed them: The biggest platform updates this year (so far).

Terry’s Take
Nobody enjoys hunting for a discount code at checkout. You’ve probably done it yourself: you reach the payment page, spot a box that says “promo code,” and suddenly you’re opening another tab to go looking for one.
The best offers are the ones your customers don’t have to chase. They add the right tickets, the saving appears, and they carry on to payment feeling like they got a good deal.
This week, two ways to reward your customers automatically.
Thanks,

In Focus
How many of your best offers depend on someone remembering a code?
Codes still have a place, especially for a specific audience like a sponsor’s staff or a local club. But for offers aimed at everyone, a code means only the people who find it get the deal. Everyone else either pays full price and feels they missed out, or leaves the page to go looking.
Offers that apply themselves remove that gap. The moment a customer’s cart qualifies, the saving is there. You decide the rules once, and the rest runs without anyone having to remember anything.
123 Tix Platform Update
Combo Discount
Mentioned in last week’s issue, Combo Discount is now live. It rewards customers for adding selected ticket types together. For example, add two different tours and get 20% off. You’ll find it in the Event Options drop-down on your event dashboard, alongside Automated Discounts.
It’s a simple way to encourage people to book a fuller experience, whether that’s a day pass with an activity or a tour with a meal, without relying on anyone to enter a code.
Automated Discounts
Also found in the Event Options drop-down, Automated Discounts apply at checkout the moment a customer’s cart meets the criteria you set, with no code needed. It’s ideal for offers like “Buy 4 Adult Tickets, Get $10 Off,” or a free ticket when someone buys enough of one type.
You can apply a discount per order, per ticket, or whenever a cart matches your conditions, and choose whether multiple automated discounts stack or customers receive only the highest one.
The easiest way to tell the two apart: Automated Discounts reward buying more of one type of ticket, while Combo Discount rewards mixing different ticket types together.
A quick bonus update for this issue:
TikTok Pixel Integration
What is the TikTok Pixel?
The TikTok Pixel is a small piece of tracking code that measures what visitors do on your event pages.
It lets you measure ticket sales from your TikTok ads, build audiences of people who viewed or booked your events, and optimise your campaigns for purchases.
Setting up the TikTok Pixel on 123 Tix takes a minute - you don’t need a developer. Just paste your Pixel ID into the integrations area of your 123 Tix Dashboard and away you go!

Interactive Seat Allocation
We’re developing Interactive Seat Allocation for events that sell General Admission tickets and then need to seat everyone once sales close. Unlike a fully seated event where buyers pick their own seats at checkout, this puts the seating plan in your hands after the sale. You’ll use an interactive seat designer map to place each attendee in an individual seat, assign a whole booking to a table, auto-allocate tickets to tables, or mix all three. Then you can create a seating list and send every attendee an updated ticket with their table and seat details.
It will be available to all organisers, and we’re aiming to release it in the coming weeks. If you run dinners, fundraisers or awards nights where seating gets sorted after the sale, we’d love to hear how you’d use it.
Terry’s Toolbox
Match the discount to the behaviour you want.
If you want more of the same ticket in each order, use Automated Discounts. If you want people to pair different ticket types, use Combo Discount. If you want to reward a specific group, a promo code still does that job well.
Then keep it to one or two offers per event. A booking page crowded with deals is just another thing for people to work out.
Did You Know?
Did you know a promo code and an automated discount can’t be combined on one order?
If a customer applies a promo code at checkout, automated discounts, including Combo Discount, won’t be applied, because only one type of discount can be used per order. It’s worth keeping in mind when you’re planning offers, so a code doesn’t quietly cancel out the automatic deal you set up.
One Action. One Click. One Improvement.
This Week’s Action
Think of an offer you’ve run with a code before, and ask whether it could apply automatically this time.
If it’s a quantity-based deal, Automated Discounts can take care of it. If it rewards combining tickets, try Combo Discount.
