Inside 123 Tix - Easy to Buy. Easy to Find.

13 October 2026

Terry's Take

Some of the most common questions we hear, from customers calling our support team and from your staff at the gate, have nothing to do with the event itself.

"I can't find my ticket." "I accidentally deleted my email." "I don't have email on my phone."

Whatever the cause, it's usually your team that ends up sorting it out at the gate, often with a queue forming behind them. A great event deserves a ticket that's easy to buy and even easier to find, and that's what this week's update is about.

Thanks,

In Focus

Where does your ticket live once someone has bought it?

For most events, the answer is an email sitting somewhere in an inbox. That works until it doesn't. The message lands in spam, gets deleted by mistake, or goes to an address the buyer rarely checks on their phone. Then the search begins at the front door, with people waiting behind them.

The same thinking applies to buying. Families and groups don't want to work out which combination of tickets they need and add them one by one. The easier you make both ends of the journey, the fewer questions end up at your gate and in your inbox.

123 Tix Platform Update

SMS Ticketing

First mentioned back in Issue 2, SMS Ticketing is now live. Buyers can opt in at checkout, and their ticket is sent by text the moment they've paid, so it's in their hands straight away. The message includes a link to the ticket, which opens instantly and can be added to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet in a couple of taps. No digging through an inbox, no hunting through spam.

Buyers still receive an email receipt, and if they'd rather have their ticket by email, they can request it from the My Tickets section of the 123 Tix page (or your White Label page, if you have one).

It's switched on for all Stripe Connect organisers, with no charge to you. It's also different from SMS Notify, which you use to message attendees with updates and reminders. This one delivers the ticket itself.

Bundled Tickets

Bundled Tickets, formerly known as Grouped Tickets, let you package multiple ticket types into one convenient purchase. It's ideal for something like a Family Pass, where a single purchase includes a set number of Adult and Child tickets.

To create one, select Add Ticket Type within the category you want, choose Add Ticket Bundle, pick the ticket types to include and the quantity of each, then save. Buyers see one clear option instead of several to piece together.

Next in Line

Combo Discount

We're developing Combo Discount, which lets you set rules within your ticket types to reward customers for adding selected tickets together. For example, add two different tours and get 20% off. If you sell packages or multi-activity experiences, we'd love to hear which combinations you'd want to offer.

Industry Watch

More of everyday life now arrives as a text with a link.

Appointment reminders and parcel updates increasingly come by SMS rather than email, and people have come to expect important information to land on the device they're already holding. Ticketing is following the same path. The closer a ticket sits to the buyer's phone, the fewer questions end up at your gate.

Did You Know?

Did you know you can group related ticket categories under one heading on your ticket page?

If your page has grown into a long list of separate categories, Group Categories lets you tidy it up. Under Main Event Settings → Categories & Sessions, select Group as your layout option, then give any categories you want sitting together the same Group Name. Everything sharing that name displays under one shared heading. It's different from a bundle: bundles combine tickets into one purchase, while Group Categories only changes how related options are displayed.

One Action. One Click. One Improvement.

This Week's Action

Look through your last event's orders and spot the combination people buy together most often.

Two adults and two children, or a pair of tickets for the same session. That's your first bundle, and a quick way to make your next booking page easier to use.

Need a Hand?

If you'd like help setting up your first bundle, or want to know whether SMS Ticketing is available on your account, reach out to our support team. If you're not yet connected to Stripe, we can walk you through that too.
