In case you missed them: The biggest platform updates this year (so far).

28 October 2026

Hi {first_name},

A lot has changed on the platform this year. We share the updates each week in Inside 123 Tix, but I know it’s easy to miss one when you’re busy running events.

So every few months, I’ll pull together the updates that could make the biggest difference to your events, attractions or venues and put them in one place. This is the first.

This update has six platform features, and each one comes with who it’s for and what you need to get started. Some you may already be using, and some you might not have had time to look at yet.

And if you’re new to 123 Tix, or you’ve missed an earlier edition, you can catch up on every issue of Inside 123 Tix at: https://www.123tix.com.au/blog.

1. Membership Management
Turn your regulars into members, and let the platform do the chasing.

Create membership tiers with benefits like ticket discounts, free tickets, early access and member-only offers. When a member buys a ticket, their membership is checked automatically and the right discount applies straight through your event ticket page. Already have a membership list? You can import it. Renewals can roll over automatically, members are notified a week before their next payment, and you can message your members by email or SMS.

Good to know: Available to White Label organisers, and your own Stripe account needs to be linked to switch it on.

2. Merchandise
Sell merchandise at checkout, alongside your tickets.

Build your catalogue in the dashboard, or sync your Shopify account to sell your existing products. Offer items across all your events or just selected ones, set up variants like size and colour, choose which sales channels each item is sold through, and keep an eye on stock. Once orders are in, generate a pick list to prepare them. If you sell through Shopify as well, your stock levels stay in sync across every channel, so you’re not caught out overselling.

Good to know: Available to Stripe Connect organisers.

3. SMS Credits
The credits behind your text messages.

SMS Credits power the messages you send from the platform. Use SMS Notify to message your attendees with updates and reminders, and SMS Invites to send a unique invite link for a set number and type of tickets, which is ideal for early VIP offers and private events. Buy your credits in the dashboard and see your top-up and send history in one place. They also let you send cash pickup alerts to your gate leads by text.

Good to know: Credits are bought in your dashboard, as bundles called SMS Packs. They’re different from SMS Tickets below, which don’t use your credits.

4. SMS Tickets
Tickets that are easy to find, because they’re sitting in a text.

Buyers can opt in at checkout to have their ticket sent by text the moment they’ve paid. The link opens their ticket instantly, and they can add it to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet in a couple of taps. It’s a simple answer to “I can’t find my ticket” and “I accidentally deleted my email”, and it means shorter queues at the gate. Buyers still receive an email receipt, and they can request their ticket by email any time from the My Tickets section.

Good to know: Available to Stripe Connect organisers, at no charge to you. SMS Tickets don’t use your SMS Credits. 123 Tix pays for the ticket to be sent, and the customer pays 123 Tix a service fee if they opt in.

5. Add-On Page
Offer extras without crowding your ticket page.

Add-Ons move selected ticket categories onto their own page during checkout. After buyers choose their main tickets, they land on a second page where they can add extras like parking, camping, programs or tours. To set one up, create your add-on products as regular ticket types, then open Add-ons from your event’s toolbar or the Event Options drop-down, add a section, give it a name and choose the categories. Buyers use the same quantity picker they already know.

Good to know: Add-Ons suit extras you sell by quantity, like parking, camping or a program. If you’re selling products that come in sizes or colours, or that you need to track stock for, like t-shirts, Merchandise can be added to the Add-On page too.

6. Waitlists: Register Your Interest and Sold-Out Waitlists
Capture demand before you sell, and after you sell out.

Register Your Interest lets attendees tell you they plan to come before tickets go on sale. They choose their ticket types and how many tickets they expect to buy, which gives you real numbers for forecasting and a direct line to your keenest audience. You can message them with presale access or your on-sale date. At the other end of the campaign, you can create a waitlist for sold-out categories, so demand doesn’t disappear when you reach capacity.

Good to know: Register Your Interest is a great way to capture the hype straight after an event. Invite people to tell you they’d like to come back, and they feel part of the journey between events, not just a name on last year’s attendee list.

Which one should you start with?

  • Want to get more from your regulars? Membership Management.
  • Want to earn more from every booking? Merchandise and Add-Ons.
  • Tired of “where’s my ticket?” calls? SMS Tickets.
  • Want to reach your audience by text? SMS Credits.
  • Launching soon and unsure how many will come? Register Your Interest.
  • Event sold out? A sold-out waitlist.

If one of these caught your eye, give our team a call or send us an email and we’ll help you set it up. And if there’s something we haven’t covered that you’d like to hear about next time, tell us. Your questions are what shape these editions.

We’ll be back in a few months with the next round, and Inside 123 Tix will keep landing each week in between.
